TERMS & CONDITIONS

We look forward to welcoming you. When you make your booking, you are entering into an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.

 

 

Guests

No persons in excess of the number agreed at the time of booking are to occupy the room. Breach of this rule will terminate the contract without refund.

 

Cancellation by the Guests

We are a small business, so cancellations can have a big impact on us, especially if we have turned away potential guests in favour of someone who has already booked and who then cancels. We do, however, appreciate unforeseen circumstances can intervene, and we try to be as sympathetic and helpful as possible in such cases.

In the event of a cancellation up to 7 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival no charge will be made. If you cancel your reservation within 7 days of the scheduled date of arrival cancellation charges equivalent to the room(s) standard one night rate will be made,

Guests failing to arrive without notification, will be responsible to a charge equivalent to the total reservation price. Full payment of the reservation will be debited from the credit or debit card provided at the time of booking or shortly after.

No refund will be offered for cancellations, no-shows and early departures.

 

Cancellation by Us

We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this is not possible or  unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

 

Damage and Breakages

Please take care of our home and properties. You are responsible an liable for any breakages or damages which you cause, or any member of your party cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as the occur especially if you accidentally spill something – it’s much easier to clean if we know what it is and act quickly. We do not normally charge for breakages, but we reserve the right to charge for repair or making good if the damage is significant.

 

Data

Any data gathered during the course of your booking may be held on the computer. We execute appropriate protection of all personal information provided. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information.

 

Travel Insurances

Please ensure that you have your own travel insurance as we do not provide this.

 

Complaints

Please do inform us as soon as possible if you have a complaint with your accommodation or if you find that anything is faulty within the accommodation hat needs our attention, so that we can assist and repair or make alternative arrangements.

 

Liability

We do not accept any liability for damage, loss, theft or injury to any member of your party or any cars, bicycles of other vehicles or possessions left on the property, or outside of the property unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

 

Prices

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. This does not affect bookings already made.

 

Keys

You have access to the building and your room 24 hours a day throughout your stay using a set of keys given to you when you register on arrival. You have responsibility for these keys for the duration of your stay. Lost keys will be charged at £30 per set.

 

Safety

We are a working farm and children MUST be accompanied/supervised for their own safety. The farm yard itself, is strictly out of bounds. Guests bring their horses and pets to the property entirely at their own risk.

 

Payment

We accept cash, BACS payment or payment via PayPal. In order to secure your booking a deposit must be provided at the time of booking. Payment is due to us based on final invoice no later than 14 days proper to arrival. We reserve the right to cancel a reservation if payment is not received by the due date.

 

Wifi

Wi-fi is provided free of charge however we cannot always guarantee a consistent service. Please let us know if you have any difficulty ‘logging on’.

 

Smoking & Naked Flames

Smoking, included the use of e-cigarettes, is NOT permitted within any part of Moorside Country Bed and Breakfast. Please note that offending guests may be asked to leave immediately and may be liable for professional cleaning on any rooms and any outstanding balance of nights booked but not taken through early departure. No candles or naked flames are permitted in the property.

 

Termination Policy

Moorside Country Bed and Breakfast reserve the right, at its discretion, to terminate, without notice, any individual’s stay where deemed necessary through unacceptable behaviour or as a result of action which are likely to endanger or offend others (Please note that non compliance of our non smoking policy may constitute termination). In such circumstances any outstanding account must be settled, no refunds will be made.

 

VAT

All published rates are inclusive of vat at the current rate.

 

Lost Property

Any left property will be returned following receipt of a pre-paid address label. Royal Mail and Hermes offer a good service and the label can be emailed to us.
